Interior Design Inspiration » Heritage Paint Colours

Our appetite for heritage paint colours (the colours of yester-year) is as evident as ever.

Farrow & Ball, or "F&B", now sells a wide selection of heritage paint colours. We stock a huge range of this popular brand and have seen sales sky rocket over the last couple of years.

In the 1990s Historical Decorator Tom Helme and Corporate Financier Martin Ephson took over the running of F&B. They began to branch out by developing a range of National Trust paints, working closely with historical buildings, and helping to restore them with colours sympathetic to their eras. This proved to be a wise move and the range has grown significantly over time. Classic styling and design will always be popular. The vintage look is very on trend at the moment and the historic colours really encompass that traditional English look.

Aside from Fired Earth there are paint ranges by Sanderson and Designer's Guild.

Little Greene has launched a great range of authentic historic paint colours in association with English Heritage.

The Little Greene Paint Company have records back to the year 1773, and still use many of the materials used in the past for the preparation of these very high quality paints.

The English Heritage range is now available here with us. You'll find 'Whitening' the original off white, Yellow which was originally named 'Pink' and the definitive 1930s Eau de Nil. These exquisite colours all retain their original name and bear a description of its provenance.
